Format & Prizes
Drawings & Door Prizes
Every entry fee generates a ticket for door prize drawings. Players don’t have to be present to win. However, in the cases where the door prize is a FREE Shot at a Grand Prize, the player must be present on the Finals Day to take the putts.
Door prizes may include things like:
- A FREE Shot at $5k, $10k and/or $25k
- One or more golf clubs
- A golf simulator
- Free or Discounted play at various courses
- Lots More
Raffles may also be available from one or more non-profit organizations.
Qualifying Round
Players will have several opportunities to “qualify” to play in the Finals Round. Specific dates to be announced.
During the Qualifying Round, players will attempt one putt for each of the following distances: 8ft, 10ft, 12ft, and 15ft. To qualify for the Finals Round, the player must make 3 of the 4 putts. One practice shot is allowed to get a feel for the green.
If a player fails to qualify, s/he may elect to re-enter the competition by paying another entry fee. At the end of all Qualifying Rounds, the highest score (among the NON-qualifying attempts) will receive $500. Scoring will be based on holes completed and the distance that the ball stops from the hole missed.
Finals Round
During the Finals Round, each player will play “up to” three putts (one each from 10ft, 30ft & 50ft) until s/he misses. For example, if a player misses the 10ft putt, s/he’s done. If a player sinks the 10 ft but misses the 30 ft, s/he’s done.
*Please Note: There will be NO practice shots during the Finals Round.
For the 30 & 50 ft putts, if the player doesn’t sink the ball, we’ll measure how close to the hole it stops.
For each distance successfully holed, the player will receive prize money as follows:
- 10 ft -> $100 & advance to 30 ft putt
- 30 ft -> $1,000 & advance to 50 ft putt
- 50 ft -> $10,000 (shared if there are multiple winners)
Once everyone has finished, we’ll tally the scores to determine the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th-10th place winners, and they’ll receive the following prizes (in addition to any prizes for the 10 ft and 30 ft putts).
- 1st Place -> $1,000 (or $10k if all 3 putts are made)
- plus a 3 putt shot at $1M
- 2nd Place -> A 3 putt shot at $100K
- 3rd Place -> A plus a 3 putt shot at $50K
- 4th Thru 10th -> A 3 putt shot at $25K
